Amy Kummer’s Founder Story: From Interior Design to Boutique Fashion

Amy Kummer, founder of Amy Kummer Interiors, grew up in a family deeply rooted in creativity. With the influence of her mother, aunt, and grandmother, she developed an early passion for home design. After a career in healthcare marketing, she found her true calling in interior design and launched her business during the pandemic.

Launching Amy Kummer Interiors

Taking the leap to leave her stable job and focus on interior design was challenging, but the pandemic presented the perfect opportunity. As Amy recalls, "I really wanted to find joy in my work," and this shift allowed her to embrace her passion fully. With faith as her guide, Amy navigated this pivotal moment and hasn’t looked back.

Society Girls Boutique: A Mother-Daughter Venture

Amy’s entrepreneurial spirit didn’t stop with interior design. She teamed up with her 10-year-old daughter, Caroline, to launch Society Girls, a clothing boutique that blends fashion and family. Amy shares, "It’s been such a rewarding experience working alongside Caroline," as they bond over curating styles together. This boutique has become a meaningful mother-daughter experience, one that has helped Caroline learn the ropes of business ownership at a young age.

Embracing Creativity and Courage Later in Life

Amy's journey is a testament to the power of following your passions, no matter the timing. Her advice to others? "It’s never too late to start something new and find joy in what you do." Whether it’s through Amy Kummer Interiors or Society Girls, she’s determined to inspire creativity, community, and a legacy of family collaboration.
